Leopards do not change their spots.  Even if they act or look like kitty cats....

Values and character are observed over time, especially when choosing a candidate...looking at someone who says what you want to hear & gives you that emotional rush, while disregarding how they  live & act is like looking at that adorable  leopard lying there gazing at you,& thinking...

"they won't bite me."

Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Jeremiah 23:13

Politics and Religion on the one hand, are topics lots of people want to stay away from...divisive, almost certainly, no?

but standing up is important, being a light that shines in a dark world....

... standing up will mean that  people call you divisive, and want you to go along to get along....but that is not standing up for the truth or being a light, is it?  don't be afraid to be hated when you stand up; you are not the first......

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. john 3:19-21

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. john 15:18
