standing up...

As we go about living, we are showing who and what we fall in line with daily.....

if you drink coffee....

Politics and Religion on the one hand, are topics lots of people want to stay away from...divisive, almost certainly, no?

but standing up is important, being a light that shines in a dark world....

... standing up will mean that  people call you divisive, and want you to go along to get along....but that is not standing up for the truth or being a light, is it?  don't be afraid to be hated when you stand up; you are not the first......

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. john 3:19-21

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. john 15:18

there is hope, even when our hearts are breaking

I do not know what to post, so I just grabbed a photo of a recently finished shawl that I completed last month...the colors remind me of candies on gingerbread houses.....

my heart breaks for France....and the turmoil for people in this world......if I did not have a living hope, I do not want to imagine the despair...but we do have hope...we do

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. john 16:3

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1 peter 1:3-12

Block 3

In addition to the mystery quilt challenge for 2015, I am also working along with the "Tuesday Sampler" Challenge 2015, also provided *free* via quiltmania magazine on youtube (in French but one can easily follow only by watching - yes really!) :)

I started with block three, and will work on the first two blocks soon !

here is the finished block:

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more;
but ye see mebecause I live, ye shall live also.
john 14:19

....But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. hebrews 2:8-9
