First Class

color work - first try

I have begun a wonderful class online - very excited ;
and it has begun with a bit of color exploration - this exercise has helped with discipline , as I easily get distracted with images, colors, etc.

what is bursting from my heart, is how thankful I am to see color - that is first and foremost.....and that there even is color!

And, of course, the color is in the Light - not in the image, or even in the flower or tree - it is in the Light...how it is refracted, absorbed, reflected, etc. -

which is why rainbows are so extraordinary, and fun.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, 
hath shined in our hearts, to give the light 
of the knowledge 
of the glory 
of God 
in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 corinthians 4:6

I have some catching up to do- and am working at it!  But it is a lovely "adventure" to be participating in ......so many beautiful embroidery examples to look at, new blogs to explore, new friends to "meet".  You do NOT have to be a great embroiderer to come along...as evidenced by my meager samplings :D  Come along, if you please!
