My name is Jennifer and,
January CQ block |
I am presently working on the crazy quilt challenge for 2014, a block a month -
this is January's block in progress....
also, for my son's birthday last week, a needlefelted hippo reading a Happy Birthday card - needle felting is one of my favorite art forms...I love animals...
hippo reading birthday card |
I like working with natural fibers - wool, cotton, and sometimes silk...they are all gifts from God... and seeing what can be made with simple beginnings.
and my inspiration and life is the Word of God - because these are His hands, and how could this earthen vessel possibly create anything, but that He is the strength of it all, and to Him be the Glory~
good to learn more about you on this posting, you are very talented with the needle felting, a lovely hippo and it tickled me to see he is reading a book. Looking at your Bible quote on the crazy piece I cannot decide whether it is stitched or printed onto the fabric.
ReplyDeletethank you Margaret! I printed them out on fabric, as I cannot embroider that small (yet...?)
DeleteYou create such beautiful things; the hippo is SO charming! I am glad you feel the support from 'above'.
ReplyDeletethank you Queenie :)
DeleteHey Kippy popping in from the GYB team of volunteers. Welcome to the party!
ReplyDeleteOh that hippo.... that hippo... I just love him up. I was on a train trip across Canada last year and there was a girl making the most wonderful wee felt animals. It was a joy to watch her creations come to life.
