there is hope, even when our hearts are breaking

I do not know what to post, so I just grabbed a photo of a recently finished shawl that I completed last month...the colors remind me of candies on gingerbread houses.....

my heart breaks for France....and the turmoil for people in this world......if I did not have a living hope, I do not want to imagine the despair...but we do have hope...we do

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. john 16:3

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 5Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1 peter 1:3-12

  1. There is so much in the world that one does not understand, but as you say, if we have hope we can accept what we can't understand.
Your shawl looks so warm and cosy!

  2. as Queenie says we have to have hope but at the moment my heart is aching so much for all those lost in Paris, those injured and their families. Also it must be so tragic for the families of the terrorists who had no idea what their relatives were up to. Without a faith I do not know how everyone is managing.
The shawl will be lovely for the cold winter months
