I am ready to send off the block I made for the NHK sponsored "Partnership Quilt", part of the Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival, which occurs every year in January. This is the first year I am participating, and it is thanks to Queenie that I first heard about it, and was encouraged to participate :)I lived two different times in Japan, did several years of business (in my younger years) flying back and forth between the USA and Japan, and have a very very dear love for Japan and the Japanese.
the theme this year is "Cute".....what came first to my mind was dandelions and a particular fabric I have with dandelions on it....

last year there were 10,519 blocks received, and 82 quilts made and auctioned off for charity ...I am so honored to be a part of this enterprise.

this is a lovely block to add to the thousands of others that will be made. I will attempt one next year. I spent time with Queenie at the festival of quilts last weekend.
