These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world john 16:33

WIPW-Wednesday Quilt Block progress, Colmar

continuing with Block 2 of Quiltmania's Colmar mystery blocks 2015; this has been a wonderful challenge ~

I have begun adding the appliqués, so that I am ready to begin the embroidering ~and then, trapunto

I am linking with esther's blog for this wonderful wip wednesday,

and  praise daily, especially remembering this week, The Saviour's finished, complete and perfect work on the cross - no more work in progress - we add nothing to it - it is complete in Him.
All praise and glory be to God :) we are saved by His grace, not by works lest anyone boast

- and how we do like to try to add works into the mix...nope - 'tis all His grace.  Hurrah!

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: ephesians 2:8

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel... 2 Timothy 1:8-9

Firstly, a big thank you to Queenie at QueeniePatch for posting photos and adding "color" to the narration of the International Quilt Show in Tokyo this past week.  This first post of hers focuses on the charity quilts!  Please read through and scroll down to see the different selections of beautiful and cute blocks.

She took photos of the quilt block I had sewn and donated to be part of the charity quilts that are sewn together, displayed and then auctioned off.  I am so glad I participated...and I look forward to participating again this year as well~!

posting to Tokyo

I am ready to send off the block I made for the NHK sponsored "Partnership Quilt", part of the Tokyo  International Great Quilt Festival, which occurs every year in January.  This is the first year I am participating, and it is thanks to Queenie that I first heard about it, and was encouraged to participate :)

I lived two different times in Japan, did several years of business (in my younger years) flying back and forth between the USA and Japan, and have a very very dear love for Japan and the Japanese.

the theme this year is "Cute".....what came first to my mind was dandelions and a particular fabric I have with dandelions on it....

can you see the bits of dandelion puffs?

last year there were 10,519 blocks received, and 82 quilts made and auctioned off for charity ...I am so honored to be a part of this enterprise.

To God be the glory :)

The quote on the quilt is
 1 John 4:10
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
