Christmas Crochet
little crochet christmas tree...
looks a bit like a hat ;) but it is a tree (egg warmer) with a star on top...
Christmas...Thank you Christ Jesus for coming and saving us....for keeping all your promises
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Hebrews 1:1-4
Crochet Tree/egg warmer pattern free at GarnStudio,

Colors of Christmas Wrap
the Colors of Christmas Wrap! I crocheted and designed it myself...or rather, using what my heavenly Father provided and gave me - He maketh my fingers to move for His glory. There are more photos on ravelry if anyone is interested :)
I received the following in a newsletter and want to share it here:
I received the following in a newsletter and want to share it here:
There are things to do tomorrow and the next day and
the next, but we can’t do them until we get there.
Worry is borrowing tomorrow’s troubles. The only time
we can really live and be faithful to God is right now. If
we are faithful each moment as we live, we will always be
faithful until He comes. I need this divine truth as much
as you do. Why waste today worrying about tomorrow
and miss the opportunities we have serve the Lord now?
Jesus said, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall
take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the
evil thereof” (Matthew 6:33-34).

Together
Christmas reminds us
that God's promises
never fail -
He came to us,
to provide the way.
for us to be,
together forever with Him
right now
But God, who is rich in mercy,
for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins,
hath quickened us
together with Christ,
(by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together,
and made us sit together
in heavenly places
in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew
the exceeding riches of his grace
in his kindness
toward us
through Christ Jesus ephesians 2:4-7
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. romans 15:13
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 1 peter 1:8

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. isaiah 25:9
For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel. luke 2:30-32

Ornaments! Advent and Christmas
it has a been a while since my last post, but I have time to publish a few ornaments I recently made ~
perhaps one will inspire you to make some too :)
embellishing the felt top with beads, lace, ribbon, a bit of embroidery -
then, started to sew it all up with pearl cotton and beads...stuffing with wool as I went, and sewing in some ribbon at the top for hanging...and added little mulberry paper roses at the top.Luke 1:4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things wherein thou hast been instructed.

Christmas stays
Christ .....died for our transgressions, and rose again - to stay :)
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

Simply Sweet Christmas Felt Decorations

Little felt ornaments remind my of my childhood - I remember my older sister and I making them every year, decorating them with many many colorful sequins and beads.
A lovely fellow stitcher from stitchin fingers has a tutorial for ornaments such as this - the instructions are in both French and English, the photos are clear and helpful, and she makes it so child friendly that even adults will want to jump in and make some :D
Her lovely, friendly blog is here: pierrespapiersciseaux
I recall drawing around cookie cutters for the pattern, on to the felt.
Thank you God for coming to us - we needed, and need you, so much, O Immanuel
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. isaiah 7:14
