Progress - of quilt block & more

Quiltmania/Colmar, quilt block 1 nearly finished

I have been working on the first quilt block via Quiltmania's youtube videos (colmar mystery quilt),
and have been learning and practicing appliqué, trapunto, embroidery embellishment and more..

some flower bud embellishment

and it all begun ( as projects do)  very humbly, as I pieced together fabrics...determined to use fabric which I already had on hand....

not knowing how it would look - or whether I had chosen properly...

but by just starting, and stepping out, and learning,  this  has become

this :)   life is like that, no? :)

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
philippians 3:12-14

Block 3

In addition to the mystery quilt challenge for 2015, I am also working along with the "Tuesday Sampler" Challenge 2015, also provided *free* via quiltmania magazine on youtube (in French but one can easily follow only by watching - yes really!) :)

I started with block three, and will work on the first two blocks soon !

here is the finished block:

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more;
but ye see mebecause I live, ye shall live also.
john 14:19

....But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. hebrews 2:8-9

Mystery Quilt "Colmar" 2015

Quiltmania magazine youtube

I am excited to begin the mystery Quilt featured via the magazine Quiltmania, by the designer Nathalie Meànce.  Though the templates and thorough instructions are found in the magazine issue itself, videos are posted on youtube in which Nathalie teaches and shows just about everything you need to know about the techniques.

The videos are posted first in French, and then in English.
(Quiltmania is also offering how-to videos for "Tuesday Sampler blocks" (in French) too, which I am eager to do as well)

Quiltmania magazine youtube

so here I have begun the star block, thanks to the instruction of teacher Nathalie Meànce and the publishers of Quiltmania magazine :)  there is already embroidery instructions and trapunto as well!

the start of my block
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins,
the just for the unjust,
that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:  1 peter 3:18

He gave me Himself, paid my sin debt against Our Glorious Good and Righteous God, and saved me; He gave me a voice,
to tell others that He came to seek and to save them....what will you say?

who hears your voice?

Blessed be the Lord, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth: and with my song will I praise him...... Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance:  feed them also, and lift them up forever. psalm 28:6-9

God is so faithful - no matter what - and though times are bad, He is always good - cry out to Him! He is eager to hear, loves to show mercy, and ready to save ~
