Breakneck speed...
Time flies of course! Except when time drags ;) been busily crocheting, and life has been busy...
Lots of growing and learning....
Not easy at all, but worth it after all
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1 corinthians 15:58
The Lord is the operative word, all rests in Him. Jesus is Lord, and He is God; the only One who can forgive, The only One who saves. What wonderful truth!!!

WIPW-Wednesday Quilt Block progress, Colmar
continuing with Block 2 of Quiltmania's Colmar mystery blocks 2015; this has been a wonderful challenge ~
I have begun adding the appliqués, so that I am ready to begin the embroidering ~and then, trapunto
I am linking with esther's blog for this wonderful wip wednesday,
and praise daily, especially remembering this week, The Saviour's finished, complete and perfect work on the cross - no more work in progress - we add nothing to it - it is complete in Him.
All praise and glory be to God :) we are saved by His grace, not by works lest anyone boast
- and how we do like to try to add works into the mix...nope - 'tis all His grace. Hurrah!
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: ephesians 2:8
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel... 2 Timothy 1:8-9

Cool Chèche
A Cool (summer weather, cool cotton/rayon) Shawl I crafted over the past two weeks! It is a lovely pattern, easy to follow, available in the original French, and also an English translation. The links may be found here on ravelry .
Big thank you to Katia64 for designing and sharing the pattern.
info on my version of the shawl is on ravelry as well
I was able to see someone very very special this week, that we had not seen for 12 years - I am so thankful to Almighty God for this wonderful blessing. My heart is filled with love and joy, and though I miss this person so very terribly, these afflictions are so temporary, eternity is forever - which is why knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour is more than a life or death question, it is a decision about where you have chosen to spend eternity....with Christ?...or with God's wrath....for eternity.
Please choose life in Christ! He and He alone paid for all your, my, the world's sins -
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 1 john 5:11-13

Now for the foundational joy! - work has begun on the crazy quilt journal project for 2014 ....

participants in CQJP2013, thank you Margaret :) , that making the 12 blocks at the beginning helps a lot ...
I searched for a foundation upon which to start building the blocks... I have fabric but lacked a foundation, a base of colors, shades, etc......
Joy when I found RemarkablySew !
I purchased 8 step gradations of hand dyed cotton squares in coffee...and received the lovely package of neatly cut, pressed, washed and hand dyed fabric...
all ready to SEW!
A foundation of colors and piecing right in hand! ♥♥♥ Their selection of hand dyed fabric is beautiful and wonderful to build upon for a quilt, crazy quilt, textile art - :D They have all colors, and lovely batik too...& die cut/pre cuts!

What a difference having these pretty squares, all cut, washed, beautifully hand-dyed, has made - I can begin working from a steady foundation, and it has helped me focus on the task at hand; having a view of the future (completion at the end of the year), and a view of the blocks as they are embroidered and illustrated one by one over the coming weeks and months... stay tuned :)
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 corinthians 3:11
Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. isaiah 48:13

with Thanksgiving
another ornament...this one was supposed to be a chicken...but looks more like a turkey methinks
I enjoyed the embroidery, beading and picot - making...
and am so thankful, for so much...
in fact, when I count all my blessing from God, there is no room for the worry which unceasingly seeks to creep in...
but cannot,
when I praise His Holy name, in Thanksgiving :D
