Added green

Forgot to update with a finished photo - now blocked.  The added green is a nice touch :)

Happy New Year~!

It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23

Needle felt bunnies

little ginger bunny wool needle felted ornament, or necklace....

and little white bunny :)   creating some wool needle felt items for my shop, to add to the crochet items available there.

Have relisted the cross stitch charts - I had offered them free a bit ago on the blog, but just saw that they are items that receive hits in my shop- so I will see if they sell -

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not galatians 6:9
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. psalm 27:13

He keeps me from fainting, there is no way I can live, but Christ liveth in me.  I will praise His name!

showing a finish

handmade shawl/pattern by Michele DuNaier

I have been working on a crochet shawl in May, and it is now finished and blocked....

the lace/eyelet edging is done in two layers....
there has been a lot going on ....all is well..and at the same time, depending on God every moment of every day, is something that is a learning process, no?

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: philippians 1:6

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. hebrews 13:21-22

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work. 2 thessalonians 2:16-17

just think of it - Our Lord Jesus HIMSELF! and God even our Father! has given us everlasting consolation AND good hope through grace AND shall comfort our hearts AND establish us in every good word and work!  AND hath loved us...He loves us

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

shawl, cloak of ascents

crocheted leaf dangles edging

more leaf dangles edging

pattern link here  main shawl body, before edging

In August I have been crocheting this shawl~ it has been a challenge and I have learned a lot.  Am finishing up the leaf dangle details, then the final edging around the main body, then blocking...then wearing!

I call it my "cloak of ascents", because I think of the different Psalms of Ascent which were sung on the ascent to Jerusalem, it is thought originally, but now can be sung and read always!  I love the Word of God!
"In the Old Testament there are fifteen psalms called the "Psalms of Ascent," which together make up one of the most precious and beautiful portions of the Bible. These psalms were to be sung when the children of Israel came to Jerusalem and ascended to the top of Mount Zion three times a year, where they would hold a feast before the Lord. The physical ascent of the Israelites up Mount Zion is a type, or a picture, of the spiritual ascent of Christian believers through their growth in life and experience. " excerpt from this blog (not an endorsement of the site, but a nice explanation ;)

One Crazy Quilt Block

the first of twelve blocks is complete - here is a close up of a horse I embroidered, simply following the pattern already printed on the fabric - that made it easier :)

The theme for the blocks is Psalm 111, and I have printed out on cotton fabric all the verses.  The first block features the first verse.  I chose as the prominent pattern a light blue "toile" featuring carousel horses, which run off the carousel....

The blocks will each be hexagons.
Thank you for visiting!

with Thanksgiving

another ornament...this one was supposed to be  a chicken...but looks more like a turkey methinks

I enjoyed the embroidery, beading and picot - making...

and am so thankful, for so much...
in fact, when I count all my blessing from God, there is no room for the worry  which unceasingly seeks to creep in...

but cannot,

when I praise His Holy name, in Thanksgiving :D
