Firstly, a big thank you to Queenie at QueeniePatch for posting photos and adding "color" to the narration of the International Quilt Show in Tokyo this past week. This first post of hers focuses on the charity quilts! Please read through and scroll down to see the different selections of beautiful and cute blocks.

She took photos of the quilt block I had sewn and donated to be part of the charity quilts that are sewn together, displayed and then auctioned off. I am so glad I participated...and I look forward to participating again this year as well~!

Come along on the 25th & meet some new people and new-to-you blogs, even without registering!
thank you to Anneliese for posting ~
Now for the foundational joy! - work has begun on the crazy quilt journal project for 2014 ....
having learned from the participants in CQJP2013, thank you Margaret :) , that making the 12 blocks at the beginning helps a lot ...
I searched for a foundation upon which to start building the blocks... I have fabric but lacked a foundation, a base of colors, shades, etc......
Joy when I found RemarkablySew !
I purchased 8 step gradations of hand dyed cotton squares in coffee...and received the lovely package of neatly cut, pressed, washed and hand dyed fabric...
all ready to SEW!
A foundation of colors and piecing right in hand! ♥♥♥ Their selection of hand dyed fabric is beautiful and wonderful to build upon for a quilt, crazy quilt, textile art - :D They have all colors, and lovely batik too...& die cut/pre cuts!

What a difference having these pretty squares, all cut, washed, beautifully hand-dyed, has made - I can begin working from a steady foundation, and it has helped me focus on the task at hand; having a view of the future (completion at the end of the year), and a view of the blocks as they are embroidered and illustrated one by one over the coming weeks and months... stay tuned :)
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 corinthians 3:11
Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. isaiah 48:13

times of grave danger
In Times of Grave Danger by franticmeerkat.etsy.com |
~ not everyone who names the name of Jesus Christ is of Him
...don't get in the boat with them.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,
and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 john 4:1-4

Thanksgiving
And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.
From our Gracious God, even the crumbs are most plentiful and abundantly enough - and how much more does He always shower us with?
Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. Psalm 103:2

Your way

"Your Way" print from digital illustration by Mimma/Mimmaart.etsy.com;
less...well, "me" oriented...just the day by day, in every single thing -
Knowing....everything I do is wrong, but....everything He does is right... right way... it is a choice...
Your way, or not....we are the same in God's eyes - we both have a DNA problem: sin.
- our will is under sin's control...and Lord Jesus, Son of God broke that control forever...he paid ...it is a gift to accept - to take
Your Way ♥ the way...free to you, to me, because He paid with Himself - His Son - because He says you are worth it
The value is what someone pays for it - God paid for you with His perfect blood, perfect life. It is finished♥
except...do you accept the gift of God? Your Way, God, not mine...His life in me, and you?
